Key purpose of the job: The position is responsible for formulating and implementing the financial strategy for the brand.

Responsible for evaluating the feasibility study for new projects and initiatives. Tightly monitor and control costs to ensure the

brand/segment meets the financial objectives envisaged.

Cost Control and Monitoring

Partner with other departments to facilitate the annual planning process ensuring brand’s/segment’s interests are kept

in mind

Provide financial and cost review based on actual / budgets / commitments with head of departments, to identify,

measure and monitor actions to control cost and to improve profitability and liquidity situation

Provide reports for regional management undertaking a comparative profitability study for the Brand/segment providing

project wise comparisons on productivity, costs etc.

Participate in Budget and Operational reviews as the brand/segment representative critically examining alignment of

annual budgets vis a vis the brand/segment strategy

Monitor project performance throughout implementation and provide periodic reports in this respect

Monitor and track the status of working capital and undertake measures to optimise the same

 

Business Plan, Business case analysis, financial review of contracts and agreement

Coordinate with business/ Corporate team in developing regional finance budget AOP/AEP and monitoring progress.

Evaluation of financial due diligence for new deals and work with Regional Business Head/ Business analyst to be primary

owner of project cash flow development

Identify and highlight risk and critical factors for success of new projects

Review of contracts / agreements from a financial perspective at regional level

Work closely with Regional Business Head in managing P&L of the region

Cash flow management

 

Planning and automation

Evaluate peripheral systems from a financial perspective to ensure that correct processes are followed, and accounting /

audit trail is possible

Establish internal controls in the organisation through implementation of robust business processes and automation of

financial processes at site

 

Business Support

Provision for expenses to accounting department based on actual spends, open financial commitments and inputs from

head of departments

Investor relations – work with Investor relations teams for providing information financial results.

 

Competition tracking

Analyse competitive business strategy & financial results

Monitor other companies’ businesses, for benchmarking, both business & financial

Understand and implement best practices in terms of managerial, financial, and monitoring processes

Developmental

Keep abreast with updates on regulatory and statutory changes and guidelines, specifically local regulations around real estate development

Recruit appropriate talent where required for the work area

Continuously update knowledge and keep abreast of changing trends and guidelines

Provide coaching, support, and guidance to team members

Carry out performance appraisal; assess capability and training needs of team members

Ensure adequate skills and competencies are developed within the team
