Perform IBM iSeries administration including system installs PTF deployment software installation configuration custom development and security

Perform daily system monitoring verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware server resources systems and key processes

Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups

Execute performance analysis and system tuning for optimum performance

Perform problem isolation definition resolution and followup for system applications and customer problems

Recommend changes in system and application maintenance and standards

Install upgrade configure test and maintain 3rd party software applications

Responsible for System Backup Strategies and Tape Management

Prepares and maintains technical documentation pertaining to systems operations

Participates in the Disaster Recovery and High Availability testing

Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above

•Good troubleshooting skills on remote VPN Checkpoint.
